The Bank of England is looking for new London office space, and has recently tasked property consultants to find a new premises near its HQ on Threadneedle street. The new London office space is to house the PRA (Prudential Regulation Authority) which will come into existence when the FSA is fragmented up under new government proposals.
The new organisation will be officially part of the Bank of England, and as a result potentially large numbers of staff could be relocated from the FSA’s current London office in Canary Wharf.
In case you’re interested, the PRA will be in charge of supervising the banks and assessing future financial risks. You can find out more here.
