The William Wrigley Jr. Company is a company headquartered in the Wrigley Building in Chicago, Illinois. The company was founded on April 1, 1891, originally selling products such as soap and baking powder. In 1892 the company’s founder began packaging chewing gum with each can of baking powder. The chewing gum eventually became more popular than the baking powder itself and Wrigley’s reoriented the company to produce the popular chewing gum.
At 2320 meters squared, this space is Wrigley’s office space in Asquith, Australia. Although comparatively the office is basic, it is still well designed. Bright open spaces are the main design feature, and we especially like the conference room which features a bright colourful background. It goes to show that a good office does not need to have all the bells and whistles as seen with the likes of RedBull, Google or Facebook. Good design is simple and effective, the rest is just a bonus.
