New RedBull Office – Amsterdam

Redbull the creator of the famous Redbull energy drink has recently opened up a new office space in Amsterdam. The Redbull office spans almost 10,000 sqm, forming just a small part of the vast 78,000 sqm Media Wharf complex at the NDSM Wharf.
The offices were designed by Sid Lee Architecture, who are based both in Montreal and Amsterdam. The theme behind this new Redbull office was to highlight duality and polarity; things such as reason and intuition, darkness and light, public and private. The office has a unique feel to it, with much of the space seemingly unfinished and undefined. Rough edges and an underlying feel of the ‘street’ harks back in respect to the shipyard’s historic design.
