The Youtube Microwave

You may have some of the most advanced appliances in your kitchen, but the Castoven microwave is perhaps the geekiest kitchen appliances you’d ever have. Developed by two researchers from Japan’s Keio University, the Castoven is a YouTube-powered microwave oven that supports a 10.4-inch LCD screen to play the videos in the door panel. Essentially connected to a Mac, the new microwave also works with Windows computers. Presenting a conventional design, the geeky appliance is based around a special Adobe AIR app to receive the videos through YouTube’s API. The Castoven also integrates a set of speakers for quality sound.
