Coworking Under Rio’s Olympic Vibe:: Interview with Our Partner WeCompany in Barra, Rio de Janeiro
The Rio 2016 Olympic Games have begun, and our Brazilian partner WeCompany Coworking beams with pride opening its doors to all guests who wish to work under the Olympic atmosphere!
WeCompany is a coworking space located in Barra, Rio’s youngest neighbourhood and also home to Olympic Park. As the world’s top athletes prepare to test their speed, strength, skill and determination against one another, our partner centre is getting ready to celebrate its 4th anniversary offering state-of-the-art technology and flexible workplace solutions.
This is without doubt, a moment of great historical relevance. For all the beauty and grandeur Rio de Janeiro has to offer, it has become the first South American city to host the Summer Olympics. These are also the first games taking place in a Portuguese-speaking country and, not to mention, the first to be held entirely during the winter!
To make the most of this memorable moment, WeCompany has organised a number of initiatives to celebrate the Rio Olympics. We had the great pleasure to speak with WeCompany’s charming founder, Guilherme Grunewald, to learn more about their initiatives and find out what makes WeCompany unique.
eOffice: What makes WeCompany different from other coworking spaces in the area?
Guilherme: We provide our members with a fresh and innovative environment, a workplace designed to foster creativity with high quality furniture, superfast internet and state of the art technology. We are located inside the renowned shopping of “Barra da Tijuca” where our members have the possibility to network non-stop.
eOffice: Can you describe your centre in 5 words?
Guilherme: When I think about WeCompany, these words come to my mind: Innovative, Comfortable, Creative, Connected, Qualified
eOffice: How do you nurture a strong sense of community in WeCompany?
Guilherme: We have a unique internal social network that connects everyone allowing our clients to exchange ideas and promote their initiatives. This also allows us to keep everyone informed about our events, courses and lectures.
eOffice: Barra is the heart of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Are you planning any special initiatives in your centre?
Guilherme: We are prepared to receive large companies, tourists and anyone willing to live the Olympic dream from our coworking space. This is our goal!
At WeCompany we cowork under the Olympic vibe with two big screens showing the games all day, from 9:00 AM till 9:00 PM.
Today, August 11th 2016, at 18:00 we will celebrate the Olympic achievement with our Agostino Coffee Break.
Tomorrow, Friday, August 12th 2016, we will open our doors to all coworking lovers looking for a place to work and enjoy the atmosphere.
And last but not least, on Thursday, August 25th 2016, we are planning a big party to celebrate our 4th anniversary!
