Polar Securities is a Canadian securities firm based in Toronto. Essentially a Canadian based hedge fund manager, the firm was established in 1991. The firm manages three distinct mandates across $1.7 billion in assets. In 2011 they renovated their 12,000 sqft office with the help of MacLennan Jaunkalns Miller Architects. We especially like how Polar’s corporate brand identity is infused throughout the office in the use of arctic imagery and design.
A fractured and minimal arctic landscape inspires the physical expression of the office, resulting in a white palette of sliced and folded planes reminiscent of breaking ice. In contrast to the abstracted, Arctic-cool wall and ceiling planes, the Gallery space is defined by warmth and texture.
