COORDINATION ASIA has just relocated their Shanghai office space to a new location. While before they were in an old textile mill, they have now moved their office space to a former glass-company’s HQ. They have taken over the former headquarters of the Shanghai Glass Company and remodeled it to fit in with their studio image.
The CEO of COORDINATION, Tilman Thürmer, says that although he misses the artistic atmosphere of their old office space in Shanghai the new location has the benefit of being located downtown with all the electric vibes and beauty one would associate with such a location. The team at COORDINATION kept the marble and the somewhat weird mouldings of the old office space, along with the various hidden storage spaces and bookshelves, but covered them in black paint to achieve a sophisticated and elegant feel more in tune with their brand. This is not unusual for COORDINARTION as black is a very prominent colour throughout their many projects.
