Evernote is a suite of software and services designed for note taking and archiving. Founded by Stepan Pachikov, the Evernote web service launched into open beta on June 24, 2008, and reached 11 million users in July 2011. Since October 2010, the company has raised cumulative financing of around $225 million.
This is their new office space in Redwood City, California. The bright and modern office was designed by the architectural firm Studio O+A. Featuring concrete floors and exposed “industrial” features, the office maintains a clean and aesthetic feel to it.
We began with the concept of making the process of construction part of the aesthetic. In a clean and modern context, construction materials may acquire the design impact of richer finishes. Evernote’s coffee bar and break areas are clad with Douglas fir plywood, the texture and grain of which provides its own graphic patterns.
