Axiom Law is a firm that prides itself on innovation, non-traditional business models, and energetic and diverse staff. They therefore wanted the design for their offices to embody all these qualities, but as the offices are within the historical Puck Building, the firm also wanted to acknowledge and maintain the historical context of the space.
The office was designed by BHDM, whose response was to create an energetic space that celebrated the historical finishes of the building. The designers took inspiration from Axiom Law’s energetic non-traditional brand personality, and turned an empty white loft into a colourful, imaginative, modern working environment, equipped with conference rooms with glass and metal curtain walls, “living rooms” for larger meetings featuring bleacher-style seating, and quirky and whimsical features including an open layout cafe-style kitchen.
Custom desks and pedestal files were installed in the middle of the office, maximising team interaction and taking advantage of the skylights above. Furnishings are quirky and whimsical, building on an eclectic vocabulary of mid-century, contemporary, reclaimed and found pieces.
