Carr is a multi-skilled firm of Architects and Interior Designers. It  has established itself as one of Australia’s leading architecture and interior design firms having demonstrated a capacity to push conventional boundaries. They recently designed the offices of Norton Rose in Canberra Australia. Norton Rose ia a Global multi-disciplinary law firm with offices around the globe.

The brief was to create a progressive, innovative workplace with a strong sense of identity specific to the unique requirements of the Canberra team and tenancy. Of equal importance, given the recent merger of international law practice Norton Rose with Deacons in Australia, was continuity of NR’s global values and identity.  The views of Canberra’s natural surroundings provide a strong connection to place throughout the workfloor. Canberra’s unique urban planning and relationship to indigenous Australia has strongly influenced design decisions from the creation of graphic and signage details to the selection of colour.
Just as importantly key efficiency factors, specifically increased density of workplace population, flexible environments facilitating cost effective space management and environments encouraging interaction, have been introduced.
