Sempla – Office Space Turin
Sempla is an Italian information technology company based in Turin. They wanted their office space to accomodate private working areas such as meeting rooms and single working spaces, but also needed open areas to allow enough flexibility so as to run their business successfully. The office is housed in an old renovated industrial space, remnants of which were deliberately kept in place to contrast with the streamlined clinical design of the majority of the office.
The thing that strikes you when you enter this office is the very strong, constant but delicate, dialogue that is established between the remnants of the factory’s past and the new identity that has occupied the space with its new way of working and its objectives. This silent interchange marks the passage from the industrial world to the advanced tertiary economy, fully representing the transformations underway and largely having already occurred in the city of Turin.
