Bell Media – Toronto, Canada
Bell Media is the mass media subsidiary of BCE (also known as Bell Canada Enterprises, the parent company of Bell Canada). Its operations include television broadcasting and production, radio broadcasting, Digital Media, and Internet properties. Their new Toronto office was recently designed by Mayhew interior designs, tasked with creating a space that would encompass all their advertising sales teams, as well as a presentation centre.
The mandate for the six-floor project was to create an office that spoke to the brand identity of these groups while creating the workplace of the future, one that reflected a healthy work environment, efficiency of space, flexibility, and collaboration. The new design was to have a creative edge that encouraged employees to engage in a fun environment. This vision was achieved through innovative floor layouts, fun architectural details, and staging with accessories like yoga balls and bean bag chairs.
