Ergonomic Chair

This ergonomic  chair is by Brennan Letkeman and it is completely made from cardboard. The ergonomic chair is nevertheless sturdy and comfortable, what’s more no adhesives were used in its assembly. In order to ensure the chair is comfortable and encourages healthy posture extensive ergonomics data was used in the design work. The inner framework is made of a solid cardboard frame which is covered by the outer cardboard skin visible to the eye.

The designer Brennan Letkeman says:

The shell was folded over an internal skeleton and fitted using a dovetail design of our own invention and the more traditional slot method. The competition was to hold the judge at around 165 lbs but in our personal testing it would probably survive 200+ as the skeleton is surprisingly solid.
