The Manchester Square offices were created by designers SHH, who were briefed to create a ‘high impact, 21st century office interior with a strong personality’. The result is a modern functional office which oozes style, all within a traditional setting. In fact, we can’t help but notice that the offices have the flavour of an old world gentlemen’s club – thereby allowing it to be both modern and traditional at the same.
This interplay between modern and traditional can be seen throughout the building, for example you have the original marble mosaic floors, which are in the same condition they would have been when the building was a Georgian townhouse, side by side ultra modern fluorescent lights and leather chairs.
On the first floor the offices use substantial amounts of pale grey. They also feature executive desks in black leather and aluminium which are by the Italian furniture designer Estel. The meeting rooms are balanced through the use of white leather chairs by Tacchini, and aluminium silver chairs from Interstuhl.
