Studio O+A is a San Francisco-based interior design firm serving companies nationwide. Founded by Primo Orpilla and Verda Alexander during the early 1990s, O+A’s original mission was to bring sophisticated urban design to Silicon Valley start-ups and the venture firms who supported them. That start-up mentality is still a key feature of the O+A aesthetic, but through the years, the firm’s mission has broadened to include a range of services for a diverse client base that extends to all parts of the country. The design firm created this wonderful light and colourful space for Meraki, a recently acquired company by Cisco Systems. Meraki was a company that provided products for large-scale, distributed wired and wireless networks. The company was started by two MIT PhD students and became part of Cisco Systems in December 2012. The office is located in San Francisco, and the spacious floor-to-ceiling windows offer great panoramic view of the waterfront.
Every detail carries artful and colourful touch- even the electricity wiring, the front desks and glasses for the working cubicles. The massive staircase that integrates seating at its base is refreshed by elegant and airy, hanging ornaments.
